Welcome to my website!

Hello! I love writing. I mean LOVE it. I’ve always wanted to be a writer. I wrote my first book when I was in grade six. It was a complete rip-off of Matilda written by my hero, Roald Dahl. It was called 'Ronald' and I even traced Quentin Blake’s illustrations (I’m sure he would have been very cross to know that). I’ve managed to find my own voice since stealing ideas from Roald Dahl, and I've written eight books, including Does My Head Look Big in This? Ten Things I Hate About Me, Where the Streets Had A Name, Buzz Off, The Friendship Matchmaker, the sequel, The Friendship Matchmaker Goes Undercover and No Sex in the City (adults only).  I'm currently writing a 4-book series for 9-12 year olds. Until recently, I worked as a litigation lawyer. I'm now undertaking a PhD exploring everyday multiculturalism and racism in Australia and remain passionate about my human rights activism.

You can check out some of the issues I'm passionate about on my blog page or follow me on TWITTER @RandaAFattah and on FACEBOOK. I live in Sydney with my husband and two children. I am always busy and expect I will get a full night's rest sometime after 2020.
