Welcome to my website!

Hello! I love writing. I mean LOVE it. I’ve always wanted to be a writer. I wrote my first book when I was in grade six. It was a complete rip-off of Matilda written by my hero, Roald Dahl. It was called 'Ronald' and I even traced Quentin Blake’s illustrations (I’m sure he would have been very cross to know that). I’ve managed to find my own voice since stealing ideas from Roald Dahl, and I've written nine books: Does My Head Look Big in This? Ten Things I Hate About Me, Where the Streets Had A Name, Buzz Off, The Friendship Matchmaker, the sequel, The Friendship Matchmaker Goes Undercover, No Sex in the City, Jodie and the Book of You, and Rania and the Book of You.

I worked as a litigation lawyer for ten years. I'm now undertaking a PhD exploring everyday multiculturalism and racism in Australia and remain passionate about my human rights activism. I'm also currently writing a young adult book inspired by my research into racism.

You can check out some of the issues I'm passionate about on my blog page or follow me on TWITTER @RandaAFattah and on Facebook.

I live in Sydney with my husband and three children.
